Workforce services and IT consulting firm Knowledge Services announced its second expansion in two years, with plans to add up to 400 jobs in Indianapolis by 2018. The company is aiming to more than double its local headcount to approximately 715 and increase its office space by 30 percent, to 23,500 square feet, at its northeast Indianapolis headquarters. Knowledge Services will house its software development and client support operations in the new space. The company currently employs 315 people in Indianapolis and more than 1,100 nationwide. Software developers looking to join Knowledge Services will find that the company focuses on assisting businesses and government bodies in managing contingent labor, including cost tracking and 1099 services. In July 2011, the company said it would invest $1.9 million to expand in Indianapolis and create 200 jobs by 2015. It already has exceeded those job-creation goals with its current workforce.
