What are SMS Notifications?

• Text messages to instantly notify users who have opted in to receive notifications of unread Instant Messages from Dice.

Will SMS messages be sent to Technologists and Recruiters?

• Yes, both users will receive notifications.

• We will only send the notification if you are offline when the message arrives.

Will Dice auto enroll me in SMS Notifications?

• No. You will need to have your phone number AND opt in to receive SMS notifications.

Once enabled, will I be able to turn off SMS messages if preferred?

• Yes, you can reply “STOP” to opt out and stop receiving SMS messages.

• Or, you can always turn them off from the Settings > Notificaiton section of your Dice profile at https://www.dice.com/settings/notifications.

If I disable SMS messages, how can I enable them again?

• If you opt out by replying "STOP" via text, currently, the only way to opt back in is to reply "START" in the text chain.

• If you disable SMS from Settings, then you can opt back in there.

Will I be able to adjust the frequency of the SMS message?

• You will receive a text once in a 24-hour time span, and you will only get a message on the day that you received the message if you are offline at the time, per recruiter conversation.
• Or you can turn off notifications completely. 
• In the future, you will be able to adjust the frequency.

What phone number will SMS Notifications come from?

• Here is the phone number that texts will come from.  They will always be from the same number, so add this number to your contacts so you will recognize these Dice messages.

What happens when I click the link in the SMS Notification?

• If you are a candidate who has downloaded the Dice mobile app, you will be directed to the message center in the app.
• If you do not have the app downloaded on your mobile device, you will be directed to the Dice Website

Can I respond to the SMS Notification I receive?

• Yes; however, you will receive a No Reply if you text anything back other than “Stop” to opt out or “Start” to opt in.
• To respond to the recruiter, you will need to respond in the app or Dice Website.
