Summary

IT Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused IT Support Specialist to join our team in supporting the Department of Veteran Affairs with a large PC deployment program. As an IT Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional support services to our clients, ensuring the smooth operation of their IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

Deploy, image, and set up equipment (PCs, laptops, docking stations, monitors, printers, scanners, and network connections) across the VA medical center campus and offsite training centers
Unbox, set up, install, configure, remove equipment, and re-pack hardware for shipment
Set up equipment at various training sites, ensuring timely and efficient deployment
Provide excellent customer service, working closely with clients to understand their IT needs and deliver tailored support
Conduct routine system administration tasks, including troubleshooting and logging data in system admin logs
Maintain high availability systems, troubleshoot a wide variety of systems and networks, and debug protocols and processes
Collaborate with the team to resolve IT issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity

Requirements:

Minimum of 1-year experience in imaging and installing computer equipment
Ability to unpack, re-pack, move, and install pallets of IT equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
Personal transportation available during work hours
Ability to traverse the site campus, transporting equipment to various office buildings and frequently stooping, crouching, and reaching to setup/remove computers/pull cords under desks and in server closets
Experience with hardware and software support, troubleshooting, system imaging, hardware break-fix support, refresh, upgrade, and deployment projects
Excellent customer service skills and ability to work independently
HS diploma or GED, with 8 years of experience working in a professional environment (or equivalent degree and experience)

Nice to Have:

Experience with the ServiceNow ticketing system
Experience with the VA

Pay Range:

· Pay range: $40,000.00–$60,000.00 (annual).
