Senior Network Engineer / Network Project Manager

Location: Remote with two onsite days per month in Atlanta, GA
Engagement: Six-month contract, C2C or 1099

About the Role

Acunor is seeking a Senior Network Engineer / Network Project Manager to lead enterprise network and infrastructure initiatives. The role is split evenly between hands-on network engineering and project management. You'll design, implement, and troubleshoot network solutions while owning project delivery from kickoff through deployment.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support enterprise LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, wireless, internet, and data center networks.

• Troubleshoot network issues, plan capacity, and improve network performance and reliability.

• Support routing, switching, firewall, VPN, and cloud networking initiatives. Maintain network designs and technical documentation.

• Own project plans, schedules, budgets, risks, dependencies, and change controls.

• Coordinate vendors, technical teams, and business stakeholders, and communicate delivery status to leadership.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of network engineering experience and 5+ years of infrastructure or network project management experience.

• Hands-on enterprise routing and switching experience with Cisco, Aruba, Juniper, or equivalent platforms.

• Strong knowledge of WAN, SD-WAN, wireless networking, firewalls, and network security.

• Cloud networking knowledge across Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.

• Experience leading enterprise infrastructure projects through deployment and managing vendors and cross-functional stakeholders.

• Ability to work on a C2C or 1099 basis and attend onsite two days per month in Atlanta, GA.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification.

• CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent networking certification, or ITIL Foundation certification.

• Experience with data center projects, cloud migrations, or network modernization.
