Duties The Annual Brome Adaptive Management (ABAM) project is a joint effort between USGS and several National Park Service units and programs in the Northern Great Plains. In the project, a decision support model guides park managers in their annual decisions regarding when and where to apply prescribed fire and herbicides for controlling invasive grasses and restoring native vegetation. After two years of implementation, several possible expansions/improvements to the model are being explored
