Job Details

ILS is looking for a Technical Project Lead experienced with IT system delivery to clients. This resource will be the primary point of contact for executive-level personnel, client stakeholders, and should be able to deliver IT projects by SLA.

This position requires to be on-site at ILS HQ office in Fairfax at least two (2) days/week.

Responsibilities:

Responsible to oversee and guide project teams through project initiation to project close, ensuring the teams follow organizational best practices. The Technical Project Lead will serve as the overall project owner, guiding and motivating project teams, facilitating meetings and decision-making processes, and eliminating team impediments.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Own overall schedule, budget, and deliverables for assigned project(s)
  • Use waterfall and/or agile methodologies and practices to plan, manage, and deliver technology solutions, as defined by the project scope.
  • Schedule and facilitate project events and meetings.
  • Facilitate daily stand-up meetings for client contracts.
  • Lead monthly review of Federal program/project plans and strategy.
  • Manage task order team members and deliverables.
  • Commitment to continuous process improvement including active facilitation of reviews and retrospectives and incorporation of lessons learned for future sprintsValidate User Stories in Jira.
  • Ensure transparency by facilitating internal and external communication
  • Ability to create team dashboards and other reports documenting work completed each Sprint
  • Regularly meet with clients to ensure client satisfaction and future needs and project requirements.
  • Establish and maintain strong client relationships and facilitate a positive representation of ILS to current and future clients.
  • Perform market studies for the identification of new clients; successfully execute sales and marketing plans and strategies.
  • Manage project schedules via MS Project Professional.
  • Create strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning.
  • Plan and organize project deliverables, goals, and milestones.
  • Create and maintain project documentation.
  • As necessary, elicit functional business requirements using discovery workshops, surveys, site visits and/or shadows. Communicate, translate, and simplify business requirements to ensure buy-in from all stakeholders.
  • Liaison with stakeholders such as end users, vendors, and project personnel regarding defining and documenting project requirements and processes.
  • Monitor and report project progress, issues, and risks to internal and external executive sponsors and stakeholders.
  • Guide project teams through go-live and delivery phases.
  • Provide ongoing and post-project evaluations/retrospectives.
  • Ensure knowledge transfer of project to appropriate support teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a Information Technology related field
  • 5-Years Minimum of experience and significant hands-on Program and Project Management
  • Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills - must have the ability to clearly describe challenges and solutions in both technical and non-technical, or business terms
  • Scrum Master Training - Required
  • PMP certification and Financial/Banking/Loan industry experience is a plus.
  • Must have project delivery experience in Agile/SCRUM Software Development
