Microsoft's Cloud business is expanding, and the Cloud Supply Chain (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the infrastructure underlying this growth including AI!

CSCP's vision is to empower customers to achieve more by delivering Cloud Capacity Differentiated at Scale. Our mission is to deliver capacity for all cloud services predictably through intelligent systems driven by continuous learning and a world class organization. The CSCP Organization is responsible for traditional supply chain functions such as Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, but also manages supportability (spares), decommissioning and disposition of Data center assets worldwide. We deliver the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, Skype, OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure platform for external customers. Our infrastructure is comprised of a large global portfolio of more than 200 datacenters supporting services for more than 1 billion customers in over 90 countries worldwide.

The CSCP Strategy and Transformation team is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead end to end testing readiness and execution of the user acceptance testing (UAT) for software deployments as part of the journey to build a world class supply chain. This candidate will play a lead role in advancing the resilience, flexibility, and sustainability of the Microsoft Cloud Supply Chain through collaboration with program managers, engineering, change management, PMO, and 3rd party providers to deliver capabilities enabling successful deployment of world class supply chain solutions.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree AND 2+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 1+ year(s) experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • 2+ years demonstrated business UAT leadership in testing readiness and execution


Other Requirements:
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.


Additional or Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience leading large, complex cross-functional implementations
  • Experience launching SAP solutions
  • Project Management skills, including managing project schedules and release plans
  • Experience in acting as a technical advisor in customer engagement
  • Experience using a test execution management toolset
  • Preferred
  • Software Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Experience launching software solutions through the software delivery lifecycle
  • History of developing trusted partnerships, collaborating across teams, and managing a timeline
  • Ability to think strategically and drive prioritization and trade-off decisions
  • Knowledge of common industry test methods
  • Knowledge and experience of Microsoft VSTS or ADO toolset and PowerBI report development
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt


Technical Program Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.

Responsibilities

Work closely with Business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Engineering teams and the Program management team to lead end to end UAT readiness and execution for transformation programs.
Responsible to lead and report status on UAT Readiness and Execution
Coordinate with Engineering and SMEs to define relevant test scenarios and test cases.
Collaborate cross-functionally to capture testing data requirements, owners, and drive data readiness.
Work closely with Engineering and Organizational Change Management (OCM) Teams to ensure timely solution demo and Job Aid development.
Define and publish detailed test plans and results.
Ensure test results are captured in ADO close to real-time and report on performance to targets.
Manage an ongoing issues log and conduct regular defect triage meetings.
Prepare and present risks, issues, mitigations, and actions to closure on UAT readiness and execution topics.
Ensure UAT entry and exit criteria are satisfied and signed off by stakeholders during Go/No-Go meetings.
