Job Summary

The successful candidate will Provide Systems Administration support to the Test Resource Management Center's (TRMC) All Domain Test Range (ADTR) and INDOPACOM Pacific-Rim Multi-Domain Training and Experimentation Capability Team, Joint Mission Environment Test Capability (JMETC) Secret Network (JSN) Node, JMETC Multiple Independent Levels of Security Network (JMN) Node, Secret Defense Research and Engineering Network (SDREN), Defense Research and Engineering Network (DREN);

As a SA, you will be a critical part of our team responsible for evaluating customer requirements pertaining to complex technical challenges. You will assist with providing solutions to complex problems in a manner which meets both functional and security requirements. You will be responsible for keeping the team's testing environment operational and in compliance with all TRMC directives and applicable RMF requirements. To do this you will frequently work with other distributed team members to discuss current system status and desired future enhancements.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the administration of: computer systems hardware, network gear, software, information systems & peripheral equipment such as servers, desktops, zero clients, storage devices, and virtualization infrastructure.
  • Install, maintain, upgrade and configure systems (Windows/Linux/VMWare/SQL Server, Horizon UAG, VDI)
  • Maintain security and recovery procedures such as patching, applying STIGs, and performing backups of systems.
  • Administration of infrastructure including but not limited to: servers, zero clients, malware protection software, HBSS, syslog servers, databases, ACAS, etc.
  • Upgrade systems and processes as required for enhanced functionality and/or security issue resolution.
  • Identify potential risks or inefficiencies associated with the configuration of the system and recommends appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with data security policies, relevant legal and regulatory requirements, and TRMC cyber security program implementation plans in accordance with TRMC directives and applicable RMF requirements.
  • Authors and/or reviews team standard operating procedure (SOP) documentation to ensure consistent systems configuration and knowledge transfer to other team members.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7 years in a technical systems administration role
  • Education: Technical Bachelor's Degree (experience may be substituted in lieu of degree)
  • Able to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Willing to travel up to 25%


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong background in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of virtualization environments -VMware preferred (VxRail, vSphere, vDS, NSX)
  • Virtual Desktop Infrastructure - Horizon, UAG, Provision and Maintain VM pools
  • Solid understanding and experience maintaining zero clients
  • Strong Windows Skills (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, Web Application Proxy, ADFS, PKI)
  • Strong Linux Skills (Docker, Containers, Kubernetes, RHEL, Satellite, scripting, ansible playbooks)
  • Experience maintaining systems within a DoD Risk management Framework (RMF) accredited environment
  • SIEM (Splunk, SolarWinds, etc.)
  • Strong documentation skills (Writing SOPs, Creating Networking Diagrams)
  • Coordination, Communication and Presentation skills


Basic Compensation:
$117,00-176,000
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
