Sr SAP Commerce Software Engineer

A New Jersey-based consumer products company is looking to fill an immediate need with the addition of a new Sr. SAP Commerce Software Engineer to their team. In this role, the Sr. SAP Commerce Software Engineer will be responsible for acting as a subject matter expert (SME) for multiple digital platforms, leading internal and third-party engineering teams in delivering core digital products.

***This is a HYBRID opportunity requiring the qualified professional to work onsite Monday through Thursday (Fridays are remote).***

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable, secure, and extensible applications


• Work with SAP Commerce Cloud to build and optimize digital commerce solutions


• Develop internal and external APIs/RESTful services for enterprise integration.


• Participate in all phases of SDLC, including analysis, design, coding, testing, documentation, deployment, and support


• Implement unit testing strategies and optimize application/database performance


• Configure and manage Azure DevOps for source control, CI/CD, and automation


• Work closely with Product Management and Scrum Masters to ensure high-value releases


• Conduct code reviews to ensure optimal performance and adherence to best practices


• Develop release management strategies and automate deployments across environments


• Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience with SAP Commerce Cloud (formerly Hybris), including SAP Commerce v2005 or later


• Proficiency in Java/J2EE, Spring, JavaScript, Vue.js, Node.js, REST/SOAP APIs, JSP & Servlets, ImpEx, JUnit, CSS, and HTML5


• Hands-on experience with B2C and B2B SAP Commerce implementations (headless via OCC Web API)


• Strong working knowledge of SAP Commerce modules, such as: Search & Navigation, Account Management, Promotions & Vouchers, Payment Integrations, SSO (Okta), Back Office, HAC, ASM, Product & Catalog Management, Multi-Localization, Content Management, Integrations, and Mobility


• Experience with SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) for bi-directional integrations


• Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, and Confluence for Agile work tracking and CI/CD


• Proficiency in Kibana and Dynatrace for monitoring and troubleshooting.


• Experience mentoring Software Engineers


• Proven problem-solving and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• SAP Commerce Cloud certification


• Azure DevOps or Agile certifications


• Familiarity with SAP Commerce Cloud on Microsoft Azure (CCv2)
