Job Title: Senior Tableau Developer
Location: Remote or Dallas,TX
Duration: Long term Contract

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Tableau Developer to lead the design, development, and optimization of data visualizations and dashboards. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of business intelligence, data storytelling, and performance tuning, with a strong focus on driving insights for enterprise-level decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead the end-to-end development of advanced Tableau dashboards and reports.

Translate complex business requirements into actionable insights using data visualizations.

Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver user-centric BI solutions.

Integrate Tableau with various data sources (SQL Server, Snowflake, Oracle, AWS Redshift, etc.).

Optimize dashboards for performance and scalability, including advanced calculations, filters, and LOD expressions.

Guide data modeling efforts and collaborate with data engineers on backend data structures.

Maintain and enhance existing Tableau dashboards based on feedback and evolving business needs.

Conduct performance tuning and troubleshooting of Tableau workbooks and server performance.

Provide mentorship and guidance to junior developers and BI analysts.

Ensure data governance, security, and compliance best practices are followed.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field.

10+ years of experience in BI and data analytics, with at least 6+ years hands-on in Tableau.

Proficient in writing complex SQL queries and working with large datasets.

Strong knowledge of Tableau Prep, Tableau Server/Online administration, and version control.

Expertise in data visualization best practices, UI/UX design for dashboards.

Solid understanding of ETL concepts and experience working with data integration tools.

Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in Agile or Scrum environments.

Preferred Skills:
Experience with Python, R, or statistical modeling tools is a plus.

Familiarity with cloud data platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

Tableau certification (e.g., Tableau Desktop Certified Professional) is a strong plus.

Experience in domains like finance, healthcare, supply chain, or retail is preferred.
