About the role:
Our eVinci Technologies business line is looking for a manufacturing engineer to support eVinci manufacturing development and commercialization activities.
As a Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer, you will:
Support the eVinci transition from the manufacturing development phase to test reactor, and commercial manufacturing.
Coordinate Design for Manufacturability activities including design concept and option development, manufacturing process planning and cost estimation, for assigned components and systems. Coordinate and document MRL assessment and maturation plans, manufacturability reviews, drawing / GD&T reviews to support eVinci design development efforts.
Support manufacturing, equipment and facility development efforts, schedule activities and associated M&S budget for assigned components and systems.
No sponsorship or relocation is provided.
You will report to the Senior Manager of Manufacturing and be located at 51 Bridge Street, Pittsburgh, PA.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with supply chain to coordinate technical discussion, collect supplier manufacturability feedback, develop RFQ for lead-time and pricing, complete supplier technical assessment and development and complete manufacturing activities.
Develop manufacturing requirements and specifications for vendor procured equipment, and work in partnership with design and materials engineering to develop material specifications. Create purchase requisitions to order materials, products and services.
Create Commercial Grade Dedication Instructions (CDIs) with support from Design Engineering, Supplier Performance Engineering and Supplier Quality Oversight.
Support Design to Value workshops and continuous improvement activities that drive cost savings and process improvement plans related to eVinci manufacturing.
Develop and maintain equipment cost estimates to support eVinci cost modeling efforts.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, Industrial or related engineering/technical discipline
Proficient in 3D Modeling and GD&T is desirable
