Pay Philosophy
The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

Description
Liberty Mutual (LM) has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Third Party Risk Management professional as the Director, Global TPRM. This role provides TPRM Office leadership for the current Third Party Risk Program in the US and leads the efforts to include Global regulatory requirements for all Liberty Mutual international locations. In this role, you will support the TPRM Governance structure with regular cadence report outs to Steering and Operating Committees. You will also work with the risk teams supporting each of the required risk assessment processes, as well as Regional Risk and Compliance Officers to ensure the program advances to meet Enterprise goals. Additionally, you will oversee day to day activities and development of assigned TPRM Office staff and will be responsible for all TPRM System advancements, process metrics / SLA s.

About the role:

  • Manages a team conducting all levels of analysis under varying levels of supervision and direction.
  • Provides support for Regulatory reviews of LM s TP risk review program.
  • Identifies the need for and drives the development of new tools and processes within the department.
  • Leads on-going monitoring of key metrics and programs to drive key metrics and owns global processes.
  • Focuses analyst resources on value-added analysis. Includes audits, regulatory monitoring, etc.
  • Provides summaries of TPRM compliance status to Management, TPRM Operating Committee, TPRM Steering Committee and other Sr. leadership.
  • May lead the implementation of highly complex global projects utilizing vendor products and services.
  • Monitors new and changing Global regulations to assess impact on TPRM program.
  • Implements process and system changes as required for compliance in order to mitigate risk for LM in use of Third Parties globally.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor`s degree in business, economics, or other quantitative field.
  • Minimum 7 years, typically 10 year relevant work experiences. Master`s degree beneficial.
  • Experience with leading a Global TPRM program in the financial services industry is preferred.
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis software (e.g., SAS, Access).
  • Must have good planning, organizational, analytical, decision-making and communication skills.
  • Experience directly managing others required.
  • Excellent analytic, qualitative/quantitative and problem solving skills with proven ability to make and execute data driven decisions.
  • Solid knowledge of underwriting rules and guidelines, and insurance laws and regulations required.
  • Excellent talent management, project management, process improvement, negotiation, written and oral communication, presentation, analytical and management skills also required.
  • Ability to influence Senior Management.
  • Strong understanding of potential impact to other departments such as Risk teams, Claims, Stats, IT, Legal and Sales based on actions taken is required.
