Job Title: Guidewire Developer
Location: New York, NY (Hybrid)
Experience Level: Mid to Senior Level

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Guidewire Developer to join our growing technology team in New York, NY. This is a hybrid role, requiring on-site presence 2-3 days per week. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with the Guidewire InsuranceSuite platform (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimCenter) and a strong background in Java development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement solutions using Guidewire InsuranceSuite applications.

  • Customize Guidewire platform modules (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter) based on business requirements.

  • Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and other developers to deliver high-quality solutions.

  • Participate in design discussions and contribute to the architecture of new applications.

  • Integrate Guidewire applications with external systems using web services (SOAP/REST).

  • Perform code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning.

  • Prepare technical documentation and support production deployments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of experience as a Guidewire Developer.

  • Strong proficiency in Java, GOSU, and XML.

  • Experience with at least one of the Guidewire modules: PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimCenter.

  • Familiarity with Guidewire Data Model and Configuration/Integration best practices.

  • Knowledge of web services, APIs, and integration techniques.

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Guidewire certification(s) is a plus.

  • Experience with DevOps tools like Jenkins, Git, Docker, etc.

  • Knowledge of insurance industry practices and workflows.
