Job Details
Piper Enterprise Solutions is seeking a Cyber Security Support Engineer to join an incredibly talented cyber security company located in Dayton, OH. This is a hybrid role consisting of 2 days onsite per week.
Responsibilities for the Cyber Security Support Engineer:
Design, integrate, and maintain cybersecurity infrastructure to support secure network operations and system defense.
Implement and manage vulnerability solutions, including DoD-directed requirements and defense-in-depth strategies (e.g., IDS/IPS, firewalls, STIG compliance).
Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to define engineering requirements and ensure alignment with security objectives.
Manage systems backups and maintenance schedules to ensure data integrity and system reliability.
Lead the design and operation of cybersecurity defense strategies, ensuring secure authentication, monitoring, and virtual hosting services.
Qualifications for the Cyber Security Support Engineer:
Minimum of 5 years of Linux experience.
Minimum of 3 years with IDP, IPS, and Host-Based Security Solutions.
Proficiency in tools such as Kali, Burp Suite Professional, and exploit development using Python or Bash.
Strong technical skills in designing and maintaining cybersecurity defense strategies.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field is required.
CompTIA Security+ CE (IAT Level II) and Certified Ethical Hacker (CND-IS) certifications are required prior to start.
Compensation for the Cyber Security Support Engineer:
Salary Range: $170,000 - $190,000 *based on experience*
Hybrid schedule (on-site 2x/week)
