Position Details:

Business Systems Engineer will be working on leading the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP FICO modules, including Profitability Analysis, Product Costing, Material Ledger, COPA, Profit Center Accounting, Taxation and integrations. Additional areas include Business Planning & Consolidation (BPC) and Blackline where experience is desired but not required.

This role is a functional role, and the ideal candidate should have experience with configuration, and designing the business processes. This position functions as a liaison working with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, communicate, and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies, and information systems.

This role consists of tasks, knowledge, and techniques required to identify business needs and to determine and assess proposed solutions to business problems. Solutions require analysis of impact against 3 variables:

Process Development - Analysis work performed to review the current stated solutions used by an organization, to identify the issues, define the requirements, and suggest best possible solutions.

Continuous Improvement - Analysis work to review current manual or workflow activities and tasks performed by people, functional areas, and systems which are designed to achieve a specific outcome, while assuring data quality/integrity.

Understanding relationships, information exchanges/handoffs, procedures, policies, and observations of work performed to achieve specific outcomes. Within the relationship with the business, the candidate assures alignment for continuous improvement within the systems landscape.

You Will:

Participate in and/or drive design effort focusing on end-to-end process optimization, using standard system functionality whenever possible.

Provide business systems analysis and process redesign expertise, interacting with business partners to clearly define and document business requirements.

Create and maintain, functional and technical specifications for the applications required at various phases of the System Development Life Cycle.

Participate in and/or drive the system configuration, and development which meet security, architecture, and support requirements, all while satisfying business needs.

Understand the systemic data requirements as they relate to improving/changing the business process or system.

Participates and/or coordinates required testing/validation of system enhancements and fixes, creating and/or executing test cases including problem determination and resolution.

Collaborate with business partners regarding deployment needs, training, communications, change management and implementation of the application change.

Apply project management standards ensuring issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner; communicates status and escalates open/unresolved issues, when necessary, in Service Now and JIRA.

Participate in system emergency or crisis situations to define/implement workaround processes, corrective action, communication, and system cleanup activities.

Stay current with changing needs of the business and technology advancements in the marketplace that may drive improved business operations.

You Have:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

7+ years of experience in migration, implementation, upgrade, enhancements & support, with Profit Center Accounting, Product Costing, Material Ledger and COPA modules.

5+ years of experience in taxation (preferably Vertex), including taxes on Purchase and Sales.

Excellent knowledge of SAP FICO integration with other SAP modules (MM, SD, PP).

Expert ability to design, develop, test, and deploy business processes.

Strong usage of conceptual thinking to understand advanced business challenges and implications.

Experience with embedding data analytics capabilities and understanding of key business data models, contribute to cross-functional solutions and be key expert representing domain in data discussions.

Strong ability to collaborate with architects to design the best solutions.
