Quality Assurance Analyst
Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Software Development Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software applications by designing, implementing, and executing comprehensive testing strategies. The QA Analyst will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software that meets customer expectations.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to ensure software quality.
- Collaborate with software developers and product teams to understand application requirements and design effective test strategies.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and performance testing.
- Automate repetitive test cases using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
- Identify, document, and track software defects and ensure their resolution.
- Conduct root cause analysis of identified defects and recommend process improvements.
- Participate in design and code reviews to ensure testability and maintain high code quality.
- Ensure compliance with company and industry standards for software quality.
- Maintain and update test environments and tools.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, tools, and best practices in software quality assurance.
- Support existing applications utilized throughout the agency.
- Collaborate with end users to address issues and implement change requests within the associated systems.
- Ensure compliance with and uphold enforcement of administrative access controls, security policies, and procedures.
- Respond to on-call outages as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in manual and automated testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools
- Understanding of API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI).
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
