This position will be based on-premises, focusing on maintaining and optimizing Linux environments with a heavy emphasis on VMware virtualization technologies.

Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience with Linux systems administration (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.)
- VMware expertise, including experience with vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter Server
- Strong networking knowledge and familiarity with enterprise IT infrastructure
- Scripting proficiency in Bash, Python, or similar languages
- Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery protocols
- Experience with security protocols and system hardening
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Desired Skills & Experience:
- DevOps tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
- Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure)
- Certifications such as RHCE or VMware VCP
- Exposure to monitoring tools like Nagios or Zabbix
What You Will Be Doing
Tech Breakdown:
- 70% Linux Administration (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu)
- 30% VMware Virtualization (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter)
Daily Responsibilities:
- 60% Hands-On - Deploy, configure, and maintain Linux and VMware systems
- 20% Management Duties - Oversee system performance and ensure high availability
- 20% Team Collaboration - Work closely with other engineers and stakeholders to ensure infrastructure stability
