Junior Origination Technician
Job Details
A top media client needs to hire an Origination Technician to join their team onsite in Bethpage, NY. This is a great opportunity for a motivated individual with an interest in media production technology.
Shift: 3 days per week
Hours: 3:45pm - 11:45pm
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Learn how to read and understand a network playlist.
- Under supervision, monitor all channels distributed from AMCN B&T to ensure:
- On-air continuity
- Program segments start and end on time.
- Commercials, promos, and graphics air as scheduled.
- Tones to trigger local commercial insertion are going out as expected.
- Messages for Dynamic Ad Insertion are going out as expected.
- Assist with log checking to ensure continuity between logs and playlists.
- Follow and adhere to master control standard operating procedures.
- Effectively communicate with peers and management team when escalating on-air issues.
- Report and write up any on-air discrepancy that occur during your shift.
QUALIFICATIONS (Required & Preferred)
- Entry level role: Strong technical aptitude preferred.
- High School Diploma required. College degree preferred; focus on broadcasting technology or similar discipline.
- Basic knowledge of fundamental computer skills required.
- Basic understanding of audio and video levels preferred.
- Ability to work under supervision and take direction from others.
- Good written and verbal communication skills a must.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Attention to detail and good time management.
- Ability to work in a 24/7 operational environment and work a flexible schedule which could include overnights, nights, weekends, and holidays.
