Job Title: Application Development Analyst (Java Developer)
Location: Tallahassee, FL
Duration: 1 month with the possibility of extension

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Application Development Analyst (Java Developer) to join a high-performing team within a government agency. This role supports Portfolio Management Services and is expected to span the full duration of the contract term, unless otherwise negotiated.

The ideal candidate will bring expertise in Java development and demonstrate proficiency across both front-end and back-end technologies. The selected individual will contribute to the development and maintenance of enterprise-level applications, ensuring scalability, reliability, and efficiency.


Key Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in Java application development using frameworks such as:

    • Struts/Tiles

    • Struts 2

    • Servlets/JSP

    • JPA/Hibernate

  • 5+ years of experience with Oracle databases, with strong abilities in:

    • Writing complex DML and DDL queries

    • Creating PL/SQL objects

  • 3+ years of experience with JavaScript frameworks, including but not limited to:

    • AngularJS

    • NodeJS

    • React

    • JQuery

  • 3+ years of experience as a full-stack developer

  • Experience with:

    • Responsive design frameworks (preferably Bootstrap)

    • Code repositories (Git preferred)

    • Continuous integration tools (Jenkins preferred)


Additional Knowledge Areas:

  • Relational database design principles

  • Object-oriented design methodologies

  • Information Systems Development Methodology (ISDM)

  • Database query tools (e.g., TOAD, SQL Developer, SQL Navigator)

  • Database security, including role-based access

  • Unified Modeling Language (UML)
