Skills Required:

  • Support a multi-shift operation in a manufacturing plant o Must be able to work on site with flexible hours in support a multi-shift operation and support weekend production when necessary
  • Provide technical support (IT Applications, Infrastructure, operating systems, end-user-productivity tools) to plant business customers throughout a manufacturing space
  • Interface with corporate IT and business owners to prioritize improvement efforts
  • Support Plant Floor Systems / Corporate teams in resolving incidents; provide triage, execute business continuity plans, support escalations, and provide hands and feet support with our international support team (DBA, Server Operations, Ops Control, Network Operations, etc)
  • Focus on the integration / long term maintenance of applications and hardware
  • Assist the Site IT Manager with managing assignments and workload
  • Develop, maintain, and share accurate support documentation
  • Support of local network equipment in a Cisco based environment
  • Support of local servers across both physical and virtual environments in a Windows and Linux based ecosystem
  • Support of Factory of Tomorrow deployments and expansion efforts utilizing IIOT, iOS, software-defined network, mobile, and Android based equipment

Experience Required:
Job Requirements:

  • A 2-year or higher college degree
  • An eagerness to learn, embrace, and practice within defined Ford IT Operations
  • A strong desire to learn manufacturing and business practices from a Ford IT perspective
  • A broad business and manufacturing mindset
  • An understanding of computer-based tools, computing infrastructure, and an interest in processes that support manufacturing operations
  • A willingness to work in a high-pressure production environment
  • An utmost commitment to support a 24x7 operation
  • A willingness to learn, adapt, and embrace new technologies
  • A willingness to get hot, cold, and dirty in a semi-tempered plant floor environment

Education Required:

  • High School
