We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Business Analyst with experience in documenting complex integration systems, business rules, and functional logic. In this role, you will analyze, capture, and document the intricate details of system integrations, data flows, and logic applied across systems, translating them into clear, user-friendly business documents. This position requires a strong understanding of data flow diagrams, business process mapping, and end-to-end system integration to support comprehensive documentation needs for our integration projects.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product owners, and stakeholders, to gather and analyze requirements for system integrations and understand data interactions and business logic.
Document integration systems, including end-to-end data flows, functional rules, business rules, and logic applied within the integrations, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
Develop and maintain business logic documents, data flow diagrams, and other required documentation to effectively communicate the system's integration architecture and its functionalities.
Simplify complex technical information into business-friendly language for stakeholders and ensure all documentation is clear, concise, and accessible.
Define and document functional and business rules governing integrations, specifying how different systems interact, data transformations, and expected system behavior.
Participate in requirements gathering sessions to ensure thorough understanding of the integrations and any subsequent changes to business processes or data flows.
Continuously review and update documentation to reflect changes in system integrations and to maintain consistency with evolving business and technical requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Business Analyst with a focus on documenting system integrations, data flows, and business logic.
Strong understanding of data flow diagrams, business process mapping, and system integration principles.
Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex technical processes and create documentation that is understandable to non-technical audiences.
Proficiency in documentation tools and experience with business process modeling.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with attention to detail and a focus on clarity.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
- Knowledge of SQL or data querying tools for data analysis and understanding integration data flows and any awareness of integration technologies like Informatica, Apigee will be plus.
- Local NJ resources will be preferred but not mandatory to be NJ resource.
