Position Summary
Individual must specialize in the installation, repair and maintenance of electrical equipment with a strong knowledge of electrical theory and electrical systems in an Industrial environment. Must be able to neatly install conduit raceways, and size wire based on loading equations. Individual must follow lock out procedures and understand Arc Flash Boundaries and what they mean. Have a strong knowledge in the National electrical code as well as NFPA 70.
Responsibilities
1. Feel comfortable interpreting blueprints, schematics and diagrams to perform new installations and to diagnose electrical problems.
2. Be able to install conduit raceways ranging in sizes 1/2 " to 4" EMT, for various service feeds, branch circuit feeds and etc. along with flexible conduit raceways based on National Electrical Code, (NEC).
3. Be able to size wiring based on Tables in the NEC.
4. Identify and mitigate electrical safety hazards, NEC violations, as well as other electrical issues.
5. Design and develop prints and diagrams for initiating new electrical installations using a CAD software.
6. Be able to communicate with Code enforcement agencies and regulatory authorities during inspections and evaluate electrical systems and components.
7. Make recommendations and complete Preventative and Predictive maintenance tasks on electrical equipment such as switchgears, motor control centers, transformers, overhead busways and breaker panels.
8. Be able to use a variety of meters including but not limited to Volt-ohm meter, Megger, Infrared camera
9. Completes paperwork as required including, CMMS work orders, inspection reports, logs, Chase work orders and etc.
10. May be called upon to work late evenings, early mornings, or other unscheduled hours to perform necessary emergency repairs.
11. Keeps work area neat, clean, organized, and under control.
12. Is responsible for quality and safety of own work and compliance of all company procedures and policies.
Qualifications
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:
Required: Nebraska class A Journeyman License with 3-5 years of verifiable work experience with a valid
drivers license.
Preferred: Electrical technology degrees from an accredited Trade school.
