Job Details

Our client is a technology trading firm empowering buyside traders with an innovative and integrated O/EMS Platform. They are seeking a technical Solutions Engineer/Integration Specialist to drive successful onboarding and technical integrations for their rapidly expanding client base.

 

In this role, you would be responsible for all integrations with their trading applications, from initial onboarding to future feature builds. You will be a jack-of-all trades in a fast-paced, innovative work environment involving scripting and SQL querying. Additionally, you should be comfortable troubleshooting, configuring, and understanding backend services and APIs.

 

This role can be either hybrid in the Greater NYC area (onsite once per week) or fully remote working EST hours.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working with clients to configure the O/EMS platform in their environment with external systems, (i.e. various trading venues, other client systems)
  • Custom integrations between client systems and the trading platform which may involve gathering and communicating requirements between the client and internal teams, and ultimately helping to implement the integration
  • Ensuring successful and timely deliverables are provided to all clients
  • Providing day-to-day support and onboarding for new clients

 

Technical Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in a related technical role (i.e. Devops, Technical Support, Integration Specialist, Solutions Engineer, SDET, etc.)
  • Proficient experience in Python
  • Proficient experience in SQL with the ability to create queries involving selects, joins, and data aggregation
  • Direct experience integrating with APIs (REST or gRPC)
  • Proficient in troubleshooting issues (i.e. tracing via multiple log files and gathering the information necessary to resolve or escalate the issue)
  • Bachelor s Degree or higher, preferably in a technical field

  • Excellent task management skills with the ability to follow up and follow through on all outstanding items
  • A self-starter mentality with the ability to attempt to figure things out and perform due diligence before involving the broader team
  • The ability to ascertain when to ask for help

 

Nice to Have:

  • Experience at a small to medium-sized company (strongly preferred)
  • Former experience interfacing with clients from a support and technical perspective
  • Experience in C# or Java
  • Experience with basic server infrastructure support
  • Experience with PowerShell
  • Basic understanding of capital markets
  • Based in NYC metro area
  • Ability to make independent, reliable decisions
