Job Details
OP is currently seeking a well-experienced Accounting Coordinator who will play a pivotal role in the finance department, primarily responsible for preparing and maintaining financial reports and expense reports for our executives. The ideal candidate will have experience working in U.S. operations, proficiency in generating financial reports, and expertise in Yardi software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, analyze, and distribute financial reports for executives, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Compile and process expense reports for executives, verifying receipts and compliance with company policies.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts by providing relevant financial data and insights.
- Utilized Yardi software to generate reports and manage financial transactions related to property management and accounting.
- Maintain financial records, ensuring all data is accurately inputted and up-to-date.
- Coordinate with various departments to gather necessary information for financial reporting and analysis.
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Assist in responding to internal and external inquiries related to financial information and reporting.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Support audit processes by providing necessary documentation and explanations as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on financial reporting, particularly in U.S. operations.
- Proficiency in Yardi software is highly preferred; experience with other accounting software is a plus.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting practices, including U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and present financial data effectively.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial software tools.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with executives and other stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in supporting executives or senior management with financial reporting and analysis is a plus.
- Knowledge of expense management software systems.
- Familiarity with U.S. regulatory requirements and best practices in accounting management software systems.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Participate in OP monthly team meetings, and participate in team-building efforts.
- Contribute to OP technical discussions, peer reviews, etc.
- Contribute content and collaborate via the OP-Wiki/Knowledge Base.
- Provide status reports to OP Account Management as requested.
