Job Details

For the Qualified Positions:
- The Fiber Technician is responsible for basic copper termination, installing work area outlets, building closets, grounding equipment, completing IDC connections, performing tests, and installing various connectors. They also handle terminating different types of fiber cables and complete all IES paperwork accurately.
- The Fiber Technician conducts testing using an OTDR and troubleshoots to identify and correct problems with the network.
- This role involves performing mechanical and fusion splicing of all types of fiber cable, as well as handling building entrance, maintenance space, and direct buried splices.
For the More Green Positions:
- Their role will be to assist the higher level techs and the team leads in building out the infrastructure to include: pulling cable, pulling fiber, learning color codes, learning how to punch down and terminate fiber, installing cable trays and pathways, and build server racks.
- Experience in general construction would be best for this role but other low level technicians willing to work outside for long hours is also an acceptable fit.
- Experience working with hand tools would be preferred as well but isn't required.

4 10's Typical Hours M-T 6-4:30p (Can go later)
Must Have Availability to work Fridays and Saturday's as needed. Lot's of overtime to get this project off the ground.
Must have Steel Toe boots all other PPE will be provided on-site

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr.
