Job Description:

Apex Systems is looking to hire an ONSITE Manufacturing Engineer for our client based out of Kings Mountain, NC.

This assignment is anticipated to be a 6-month contract with strong potential for extension or conversion; however, Apex Systems cannot guarantee the length of this assignment. This will also have a first shift Monday-Friday schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and recommend manufacturing processes, techniques, equipment, gauging, IT systems, and tooling to achieve zero defects.
• Utilize workforce knowledge and current practices to introduce and implement new manufacturing processes, products, and projects.
• Evaluate new technologies and systems for integration into existing processes and products.
• Develop cost-effective engineering solutions adaptable to product and volume changes.
• Perform benchmarking and apply best practices locally and globally within the engineering organization.
• Create project plans, participate in pre-studies, theoretical volume capacity scenarios, monitor activities, and secure stakeholder agreement.
• Understand the needs of both internal and external customers.
• Clearly present ideas, problems, and solutions in written and verbal communication.
• Collaborate with a team mindset to creatively solve problems and deescalate potential conflicts.
• Proactively identify potential problems and take actions to minimize risks.
• Maintain a continuous improvement mindset focused on waste elimination, employee engagement, and promoting a safe and clean working environment.

Experience:

• BS Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a similar field.
• Demonstrated problem-solving, risk identification, and mitigation skills, both individually and in teamwork settings.
• Strong time management, prioritization, and communication skills.
