Aerodynamics Engineer - Aerodynamic Analysis (Associate, Mid-Level, Senior)

The Boeing Company is hiring Associate, Mid-Level or Senior Aerodynamics Engineers focusing on Software Development to support the Flight Sciences Flight Manuals and Tools team in Everett, WA.
The Aerodynamics Performance group is part of the larger Flight Sciences organization and provides design and analysis support for all development and in-production aircraft within Boeing Commercial Airplanes. Our Aero Performance team is organized in four groups: Sales Support and Competitive Analysis, Product Development and Fleet Support, Flight Manuals and Performance Tools, and Certification and Fuel Mileage. These teams contribute to the entire airplane life cycle from product development to certification, production and fleet support. We work closely with other teams from Flight Sciences, Sales & Marketing, Product Development, Flight Test, and other disciplines and regulatory organizations to ensure airplanes satisfy design and certification requirements for all phases of flight including takeoff, climb, cruise, descent and landing. As an Aerodynamics Performance engineer, you'll be an integral part of ensuring the safety, performance and efficiency of current and future Boeing Commercial Airplane products.

Position Responsibilities:
- Support and modernize applications used to compute certified and operational aircraft performance characteristics including takeoff, enroute & landing scenarios.
- Calculates and present airplane performance for new and derivative Boeing and competitor aircraft models to support product development, sales campaigns, and airline operations while ensuring compliance with appropriate regulatory requirements and airline operational rules.
- Assists in certifying aircraft and establishing performance levels.
- Conducts multi-disciplinary trade studies and define market requirements to support development of new models.
- Supports airline fleet operations by answering airline queries and providing airplane performance support.
- Develops new and improved existing tools to accomplish the above tasks.
- Assists in training.
- Works under general supervision.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor's degree within Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering Discipline
- Software development experience with knowledge of professional engineering practices (coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations) in languages such as FORTRAN or C/C++.
- 1 or more years of experience working with aerospace engineering principles (Aerodynamics, Airplane performance, or Flight Operations)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience in aircraft performance analysis
- Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations as they pertain to aircraft performance
- Development experience using Python
- Experience developing software using Linux OS
- 3 or more years of experience working with aerospace engineering principles (Aerodynamics, Airplane performance, or Flight Operations)

- Summary pay range for Mid-Level (Level 3): $100,300 - $135,700
- Summary pay range for Senior Level (Level 4): $121,550 - $164,450
