Job Title: Java Technical Lead

Job Location: 90% Remote (10% onsite/travel (Anywhere in the US))

Job Duration: 6+ months

Job Description:

  • As a Java Spring Boot Technical Lead you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and guidance in the development of Java-based applications, particularly those using the Spring Boot framework.
  • This role involves a combination of technical expertise, team leadership, and project management skills

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership:

  • Designing and implementing the technical architecture for Java Spring Boot applications.
  • Providing technical guidance and mentorship to the development team.
  • Ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Leading code reviews and ensuring code quality.
  • Evaluating and recommending new technologies and tools.

Development:

  • Developing and maintaining Spring Boot applications.
  • Writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
  • Troubleshooting and debugging issues.
  • Writing and executing unit and integration tests.

Team Leadership:

  • Leading and motivating the development team.
  • Delegating tasks and responsibilities.
  • Monitoring team performance and providing feedback.
  • Facilitating communication and collaboration within the team.

Project Management:

  • Participating in project planning and estimation.
  • Managing project timelines and deliverables.
  • Identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Communicating project status to stakeholders.

Collaboration:

  • Working closely with other teams, such as product management, QA, and operations.
  • Participating in cross-functional meetings.
  • Ensuring alignment with overall business goals.

Required Skills:

  • Extensive experience in Java development.
  • Strong proficiency in the Spring Boot framework.
  • Experience with RESTful API design and development.
  • Solid understanding of software development methodologies, such as Agile.
  • Experience with databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
