The Opportunity

Customer Data Platform (CDP) ML helps enterprise customers to enable data science to drive real-time personalized experiences through Customer AI as well as helps you understand the impact of every marketing dollar spent across paid, earned, and owned channels so you can expertly plan and optimize your marketing investments through Adobe Mix Modeler (AMM). Customer AI, an embedded AI feature in Adobe Real-Time CDP enables marketers to generate individual level scores for a specific outcome such as conversions or churn. AMM brings measurement and planning together in a single application to understand campaign performance, effectively forecast plans, and optimize marketing channel investments with greater speed and confidence.

We are looking for an experienced, curious and self-governing engineer to be part of a core component team. As a senior engineer, we expect the candidate to contribute and own technically sound features of these applications and ensure the delivery of high-quality features and architectural improvements.

Tasks here can range from software design and reviews to developing highly efficient enterprise software and good quality code. You will work closely with data scientists, machine learning engineers, product management, customers and other stakeholders. Since most of the work would involve leading sophisticated ML applications, a candidate who can develop end to end view of a system will be preferred.

What you'll do
  • Collaborate with Machine Learning, UI, Product Management teams to develop and deliver product features while ensuring quality through reviews, unit testing, and integration testing.
  • Lead efforts to integrate and align ML applications with AEP, adopting standard processes to improve architecture and scalability.
  • Drive the architectural enhancements of ML applications, ensuring seamless integration and functionality within the broader ecosystem.
  • Facilitate the training and ramp-up of new engineers on the API layer and existing features, ensuring a high level of team expertise and readiness.
  • Actively participate in the triage of customer issues and enhancement requests, suggesting and implementing features that address critical needs.
  • Design and conduct proof of concept (POC) and spike solutions to clarify team understanding and validate workflows using customer data.
  • Contribute to the end-to-end customer experience by participating in product design, architecture, and the release processes.
  • Act with clarity and precision, ensuring projects are driven with a strong sense of ownership and direction.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of demonstrated ability in software development with a strong understanding of API layers, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Exposure to Apache Spark, Azure Services, Databricks, Snowflake, Jenkins is a plus.
  • Prior experience working on large scale distributed systems or data processing systems
  • Proficiency in Python
  • Always striving to implement coding best practices and scalable design; role is primarily coding
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a dynamic and collaborative team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage projects across multiple geographies.
  • Proven results-oriented person - especially in the areas of writing high-performance, reliable, and maintainable code.
  • Provide leadership to the group and mentorship to junior-level engineers

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $124,000 -- $234,200 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans.
