Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an Electrical Engineering Analyst for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Management Consulting clients in Chicago, IL.
Responsibilities:
One of SGA's fortune 500 clients is looking for an Electrical Engineering Analyst for a long-term hybrid consulting/contract position (3 days onsite out of Chicago, IL). As an Electrical Engineering Analyst/Engineer, you will play a key part in evaluating and driving client growth and sustainability opportunities. You will work with teams to guide the creation of our clients' current and future portfolio as well as driving productivity and innovation across their various functions including engineering, procurement, and product management. You will typically work in teams of 2 - 3 other analysts and experts. You may often be collocated at a client site with other consultants responsible for the diagnosis, analysis, and implementation of business initiatives tailored to help our clients improve margins and reduce costs. Working closely with client stakeholders is key to establish buy-in and grow client capabilities. The ownership of individual work and ability to create impact as an individual is necessary to be successful.

- Determination of critical product or materials specifications and feature/attribute comparisons
- Product cost modeling for design and procurement outcomes

Required Skills:
- A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering or analogous technical degree required
- Strong record of academic performance
- Knowledge and experience with PCBA design and manufacture including high-frequency PCB design, signal integrity and EMC/EMI considerations, IC functionality, etc, knowledge of wiring systems, power transmission distribution considered a plus
- Familiarity with Altium, OrCAD, Eagle.
- Proficient communicator, capable of working in multinational environments, self-motivated
- Willingness/ability to travel, if needed
- Ability to impact individually or as a collaborative member of a team, capable of working well with others but also autonomously with little direction
- Experience in starting projects, manage multiple priorities, and work effectively in the face of ambiguity
- Highly organized and detail-oriented individual
- Excellent presentation skills with a focus on communicating complex ideas clearly
- Creative and strategic thinker with the ability to analyze and synthesize data
Preferred Skills:
- Top programs preferred (E.g., MIT, Carnegie Mellon, Cal Tech, Stanford, Harvard, Princeton, Columbia, etc)
- 2+ years of electrical design and manufacturing experience in roles such as R&D, testing and systems integration preferred. Tier 1 and 2 automotive companies
- NCEES certificate in the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) or professional engineer (PE) in electrical engineering preferred
- Familiarity with AutoCAD considered a plus.
