Job Details

Title: Security Architect
Location: Remote

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Security Architect to join the COX security team, responsible for mapping business requirements to security controls and ensuring compliance with security frameworks. The ideal candidate will have expertise in cloud security, compliance standards, and risk management while collaborating with stakeholders to enhance security postures.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to map security controls to business requirements.

  • Participate in workstream meetings, ensuring security requirements are addressed.

  • Review new service requests and assess security impacts.

  • Collect and validate security requirements from security and business teams.

  • Implement and ensure compliance with NIST 800-53 security controls.

  • Provide status reports and risk assessments to leadership.

  • Engage with AVP-level executives to communicate security risks and solutions.

  • Collaborate on cloud security initiatives, particularly in Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) environments.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in security architecture or consulting.

  • CISSP certification or equivalent security credential.

  • Strong experience in firewalls, cloud security, and compliance frameworks (NIST 800-53, Google Cloud Platform security best practices).

  • Ability to interact with senior leadership and drive security initiatives.

  • Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) and related security certifications are a plus.

  • Strong analytical and communication skills to convey security risks and recommendations effectively.
