Job Details

Job Description:

  • Assist with the maintenance of daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reporting functions.
  • Gather Retail Operations data from multiple databases, platforms, stakeholders, and 3rd party vendors to complete the analysis.
  • Transform large data sets through data wrangling, exploratory data analysis, and predictive modeling.
  • Leverage Power BI (and other data visualization tools) to build and maintain custom reports and dashboards to reveal trends and correlations in large data sets.
  • Implement row-level security in Power BI (and other data visualization tools) to enable secured viewing of the reports for designated job levels and locations.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance reporting capabilities and improve processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the data needs to execute department and enterprise-wide strategic objectives and initiatives.
  • Identify and communicate any data-related issues and recommendations to the business owner, manager, and the team.
  • Provide data insights and solutions to leaders to drive decision-making.

Top 3 Skills:

  • R (data cleaning, performing calculations on large datasets, performing exploratory data analysis).
  • You will also use Python on occasion.
  • PowerBI (especially with DAX). Almost all of the data reporting is done in Power BI. Working with Power Query, Dataflows, Row Level Security (RLS), and writing measures with DAX will be a big part of your job.
  • A great eye for visualization and a focus on the user experience.
