Solar Racking Crew Lead

Our client is seeking a Solar Racking Crew Lead to manage and lead the installation of solar racking systems on residential and light commercial projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in roofing and building construction, combined with leadership skills to train and mentor a small mechanical team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a mechanical crew to safely install solar racking systems, based on design drawings and safety plans.
  • Ensure the proper installation of safety equipment and adherence to site-specific safety protocols.
  • Mount rails, brackets, and supports for solar panels on various structures, including flat roofs, pitched roofs, ground mounts, pole mounts, carports, and awnings.
  • Secure mounting systems using fasteners that attach to roof structural members in compliance with manufacturer and code requirements.

Salary/Structure:

  • $38-$42/hr + Benefits

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Leadership experience in managing and supervising installation crews.
  • Strong foreman skills, including task delegation, crew training, and project planning.
  • Experience with different roofing materials such as composite, tile, metal, and TPO.
  • Knowledge of waterproofing and weather sealing techniques.
  • Familiarity with ground work and excavation.
