Description
SAIC has a contingent opening for a Senior Principal System Administrator supporting a large highly visible Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic Data Center and Cloud Hosting Service Program. Ideal candidates are people who thrive in a highly challenging fully integrated government and private sector program team. Candidates must be capable of multitasking, possess highly refined communication skills and who are capable of presenting information in a variety of forums for the program team to include integrated product team level and above.
Work is performed on site in North Charleston, SC. This program is contingent upon award news in March/April 2025.
Qualifications
Required Clearance: Active Secret clearance.
Required Experience: Seven (7) years with Master's or eleven (11) years with Bachelor's degree of professional experience in systems administration to include supporting daily operational requirements of computer network systems including workstation, file servers, and web servers. Duties include installation of hardware, software, systems upgrades, network accounts, network security, and web page design, interface and updates, and local system design documentation. Individual shall have experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and implementing network security tools including firewalls, anti-virus, and intrusion detection services. Individual shall be capable of training staff on software applicable to their position, assisting customers with information technology, monitoring system configuration (hardware and software), and providing instruction on computers and applications. Individual shall have notable experience supervising and/or mentoring of lesser experienced personnel.
Required Education: Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems; and dependent on task, individual shall meet the latest Cybersecurity workforce certification/training in accordance with DoD 8570.1M and subsequent DoD 8140 manual as applicable.
Required Certifications:
At least one (1) of the following: CompTIA Security+ or CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP) or Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP).
Plus: relevant certifications as approved by the COR in systems being administered. Additionally, depending on tasking, individual shall be certified as Information Assurance Management (IAM) or Information Assurance Technical (IAT) or Information Assurance System Architect and Engineer (IASAE) Level III (position-based).
SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.
Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
