Leading the future in luxury electric and mobility

At Lucid, we set out to introduce the most captivating, luxury electric vehicles that elevate the human experience and transcend the perceived limitations of space, performance, and intelligence. Vehicles that are intuitive, liberating, and designed for the future of mobility.

We plan to lead in this new era of luxury electric by returning to the fundamentals of great design - where every decision we make is in service of the individual and environment. Because when you are no longer bound by convention, you are free to define your own experience.

Come work alongside some of the most accomplished minds in the industry. Beyond providing competitive salaries, we're providing a community for innovators who want to make an immediate and significant impact. If you are driven to create a better, more sustainable future, then this is the right place for you.

Our ideal candidate exhibits a proactive, can-do attitude and approaches their work systematically with vigor, determination, and accuracy. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment.

The Role:
  • Design, develop and evaluate cutting-edge machine learning architectures for ADAS actor predictions, behavior and motion planning.
  • Design, prototype, engineer, test, release and launch cutting edge ML based features for ADAS/Autonomous Driving.
  • Conduct research to come up with state-of-the-art machine learning based planning and prediction solutions and have the drive and expertise to take such solution to production.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest planning literature, researching recent developments and evaluating opportunities for integrating them into our autonomous driving models.
  • Conduct data analysis to extract critical scenarios from simulation data and fleet data, contributing to the enhancement of our autonomous driving system's decision-making capabilities.
  • Manage the storage, curation, and transport of data from our fleet and customers for the purpose of automated inference and algorithm development.

Qualifications:

Must haves:
  • Master or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Robotics, ML or a related field
  • Expert level knowledge and experience in Python, with 3+ years of academic/industry experience specifically with relevant libraries (PyTorch, TensorFlow etc.) used for machine learning, data analysis and management.
  • Proficiency in C++ and hands-on SWE design skills
  • Professional experience implementing reliable production systems involving large-scale systems, evaluation pipelines, ML models and performance metrics
  • Solid understanding of state-of-the-art models and approaches or perception, prediction, or planning in the self-driving space
  • Demonstrated expertise in software design and deep learning principles, with a focus on scalable and efficient models
  • Understanding and exposure to non-ML planning methods.

Preferable:
  • 3+ years of academic/industry experience in ML development, with a solid understanding of its applications in large-scale data systems.
  • Background in one of these areas: perception, environment modeling, prediction or planning as part of ADAS/AD software stack or equivalent robotic applications.
  • Academic or practical experience in imitation learning, reinforcement learning, simulation etc.
  • Experience working with Foundational models, LLMs, end-end models for AV stacks.
  • Experience with porting trained models to embedded platforms and solid fundamentals in c++.
