Job Description

This position will be responsible for the analysis, design, testing, development and maintenance of best in class software experiences and capacity planning models. The candidate is a self-motivated individual who can collaborate with a team and across the organization. The candidate takes responsibility of the software artifacts produced adhering to U.S. Bank standards in order to ensure minimal impact to the customer experience. The candidate will be adept with the agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for designing, developing, integrating, testing, operating and maintaining Enterprise Observability products.
  • Work with members of Enterprise Observability team, Enterprise Infrastructure, Network Technology Services, Application owners to gather requirements, interface to vendor's tools, help design, create, refine solutions to meet Enterprise Observability needs.
  • Analyze historical data and current trends to forecast future resource requirements
  • Develop and maintain capacity planning models and databases
  • Monitor current production levels and adjust schedules as needed
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and other business lines to align demand and supply planning
  • Prepare and present capacity planning reports to management
  • Optimize resource allocation to maximize efficiency and productivity
  • Conduct regular load vs. capacity assessments
  • Implement strategies to improve forecasting accuracy and planning efficiency
  • Assist in developing contingency plans for potential capacity issues or disruptions
  • Ability to explain costing models to business lines and meet with them regularly to ensure proper accounting and budgeting
  • Takes full stack ownership by consistently analyzing & improving solutions using related tools, scripting, reporting, dashboarding & visualization.
  • Accountable for ensuring all aspects of product development & integration follow compliance and security best practices.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Five to six years of relevant experience

Preferred Skills/Experience
  • Experience with capacity planning models and forecasting techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration
  • Knowledge of key performance indicators (KPIs) related to capacity planning
  • Hands on working experience on Enterprise Observability solutions/tools - Data Dog, Elastic Search, Splunk, Big Data.
  • Hands on working experience on Enterprise NPM (Network Performance Monitoring) solutions - Broadcom DX Net Ops, NFA, Spectrum, SevOne.
  • Hands on working experience on Enterprise Wireline Analytics tools - Extra hop, NetScout and Genius One.
  • Experience in Git/Gitlab, CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment, Docker, Kubernetes, Istio, Rancher, Jenkins/Cloud bees,
  • Master Python/Python code, OOP, Flask frameworks, HTTP/HTTPS rest APIs/SOAP-API/model endpoints, XML, JSON is required.
  • Knowledge in Azure , Google Cloud Platform or AWS is preferred.
  • Experience/knowledge in Machine Learning/AI for Analytics solution is an added plus.
  • Knowledge in Network Security Appliances & Tools (F5/Load-balancer, Big IP, Firewall - Palo Alto, Check Point, Proxy, Netskope, DNS) is added plus.

Location Expectations

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. Pay Range: $119,765.00 - $140,900.00 - $154,990.00
