Job Details
CNO Financial Group's IT team is hiring a Sr. Solution Architect to design solutions based on business requirements under limited technical direction. Solutions will range across a wide and diverse set of applications. This position will lead technical resources to successfully deliver solution goals across applications and technologies and provide guidance and feasibility analysis for project delivery teams.

All associates may be asked to travel to varying corporate offices periodically. Work cannot be performed from outside of the United States.

As a Sr. Solution Architect, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing logical solution architecture details for applications, integrations, and components required to successfully complete projects and meet business goals/requirements.
- Designing solutions across a wide and diverse set of applications, based on business requirements.
- Providing project technical oversight; reviewing technical design from development teams and coordinating across all technical teams.
- Partnering with business and business delivery groups to understand requirements and interacting with IT disciplines such as analysts, developers, testers, and project managers to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
- Providing high-level estimates for complex and sometimes incomplete requirements.
- Prototyping and evaluating new technologies.
- Creating high-quality architectures and corresponding documentation.
The Sr. Solution Architect position is well-suited for you if you:
- Possess strong technical experience on complex problems and applications
- Have an understanding and knowledge base of architecture and solutioning principles/practices
- Can solve complex technical problems through methodical thinking, planning, and overcoming obstacles
- Are able to discuss complex problems across both technical and non-technical audiences
What you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline
- Typically requires a minimum of five to seven years of related technical experience, with increasing responsibility
- Experience in designing and implementing architecture for both mainframe and open-source systems, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance across diverse platforms.
- Experience interacting with, explaining, and influencing upline managers and directors
What will set you apart:
- Previous experience as a technical lead/lead programmer is preferred
- Prior insurance industry experience
- Relevant agile and/or technical certifications such as TOGAF, etc.
