Texas GovLink is an Austin-based firm and premier provider of technical and business staffing solutions for the State of Texas. We are currently seeking an experienced IT Application Lead to be a key resource on a technical services team for our client, Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).
**Location of job: Hybrid/Onsite 3-5 days a week. Candidates must be LOCAL.**
Responsibilities
Responsible for communications to Project Sponsors
- Lead serves as the primary point of contact for project delivery aspects for applications.
- Identify resources are available to complete project assignments in a timely manner and identify potential risks, constraints, and issues that may have an impact on the project and is responsible for the development of strategies to address them.
- Responsible for coordination with the IT Operations and Security for any infrastructure or security assessments required for the applications.
- Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
- Maintains and utilizes detailed industry and internal services knowledge in the construction of industry leading services solutions, including expert working level knowledge of the processes, technologies, and people components involved in the services arena.
- As needed, provide a "trusted expert advisor" role as a Subject Matter Expert for technical services, to both internal and external customers, ranging from formal advice to internal and external customer presentations.
- Responsible for production support on assigned applications.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor
Qualifications
Minimum (Required):
Years | Skills/Experience |
7 | Familiar with standard concepts, practices and SDLC. |
7 | Experience in working with Product Owner/System/Business Analysts to understand functional and technical requirements and interact with other cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and release features. |
7 | Exhibits excellent analytical, problem-solving, team playing and communication skills |
7 | Experience with Project Management Life Cycle, the Agile Development Life cycle. |
7 | Experience in meeting tight deadlines |
7 | Experience in Communicating program objectives, goals, and progress to program directors, executives, upper management, and stakeholders. |
7 | Experience with troubleshooting and support of computer systems |
7 | Experience with delivering systems per contract specifications and to user satisfaction whether SaaS, COTS or custom build7 |
