SENIOR LEAD - CLIENT 360 DATA & ANALYTICS
Northern Trust Wealth Management is looking for an experienced Data Technologist with strong expertise defining and executing large scale data programs. The role is a high touch position with a notable amount of collaboration across teams in building business solutions. It is expected that this individual has considerable experience and a strong technical background to gain the respect of senior software development staff.
This person will lead our Client 360 initiative, a high priority and highly visible project fundamental to the WM Data Strategy. Using a variety of technologies this self-driven and innovative leader will bring to life:
- Who our client IS
- What our client HAS
- How our client BEHAVES
Using this information we will create reusable data products and services that will integrate and unite our Client facing and Partner facing applications by providing data, recommendations and other insights to help our partners drive growth through multiple channels.
We will evolve our data practices by using Machine Learning, Generative AI, LLMs and other growing
technologies to ensure a superior customer experience and set standards for data quality, data
reliability and data security.
With strong communication skills and a problem-solving mindset that thrives in a fast-paced organization. The ideal candidate would engage Wealth Management business leaders, understanding business needs, lead data modelling, solution and model implementation, help execute solution build and business enablement.
This individual wants to help create and drive the team culture and promote a collaborative team structure through whiteboarding and candid design discussions.
They will have Financial Institution experience, preferably in Wealth Management and understands the importance of staying current on technology especially as it relates to Public/Private Cloud, Data Management and Financial Services Regulations
Experience in Knowledge graphs, Entity Resolution, Recommendation Engines, Search Engines and LLMs
Strong understanding of APIs and data distribution methods including GraphQL, Rest, Streaming and others.
Establish performance benchmarks and enable periodic validation
Be a mentor and groom the next gen tech leads
Influencing the teams through knowledge and data and help build their knowledge on end to end solution considerations using domain driven design and other modern engineering practices.
Ensures adherence to organizational policies, guidelines and processes
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Expert Working knowledge Python, Spark, JavaScript, Typescript and/or SQL
Experience with writing backend APIs both Rest and GraphQL (Apollo Federated GraphQL preferred)
Experience documenting APIs with Open API and/or Swagger
Experience with Testing frameworks like Jest, Mocha, Playwright etc...
Experience with Neo4J Graph Database building Knowledge Graphs, Entity Resolution, Recommendation Engines
Experience with relational db's like Oracle, SQL Server. Document DBs like MongoDB or Cosmos DB
Strong understanding of a variety of data modelling techniques and when to use them. Graph, Document, Relational and Dimensional Modelling.
Experience with Data Integration Platforms: Databricks, Snowflake etc..
Experience with Data Lakehouse and Medallion Architecture
Strong Understanding of messaging and streaming technologies such as Kafka, Azure Event
Salary Range:
$114,500 - 194,700 USD
Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
