Description
We are seeking a Help Desk Analyst II for a contract employment opportunity in the information technology department based in Washington, District of Columbia. The primary role is to provide comprehensive support and maintenance, including printer/copiers, equipment maintenance and service, storage room maintenance, desk setups, and A/V support.
Responsibilities:
Deliver a high standard of customer service while supporting office staff in a dynamic environment.
Handle the setup and support of video conference and telecommunications systems for meetings.
Provide Audio Visual assistance for special office events.
Maintain desk arrangements, including new permanent setup, office moves, and routine monitoring of all desks for extra, missing, or malfunctioning equipment.
Assist staff as required with missing or malfunctioning desk equipment.
Oversee the Asset Management database.
Coordinate the repair and return of damaged laptops with the manufacturer.
Provide printer support, including toner & paper refresh, ordering supplies, removing jams, and recycling toner.
Manage storage room inventory and cleanliness, order supplies when low.
Keep track of inventory on loan and follow up as needed for equipment return.
Coordinate asset disposal with vendor.
Handle IT courier services and FedEx shipments.
Assist staff on the use of office equipment, including fax, scanner, and copier.
Conduct basic IT troubleshooting.
Requirements
Possess strong skills in customer service to effectively interact with all levels of company personnel and clients
Proven knowledge of computer hardware, including troubleshooting and maintenance
Hands-on experience with desktop hardware, able to diagnose and resolve issues effectively
Familiarity with associated hardware and ability to handle related problems
Proficiency in audio visual technology, with the ability to set up and manage AV equipment
Experience in conference room setup and cleanup, ensuring all technology is functioning properly before and after meetings
