Title:
Senior Systems Engineer
KBR's Defense Systems Engineering Division is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer (Top Secret Clearance) with 10+ years of experience supporting the software integration and testing of naval aircraft systems to join our Lexington Park, MD, team supporting PMA-231 Advanced Programs. PMA-231 provides the E-2C Hawkeye, E-2D Advanced Hawkeye, Hawkeye 2000, and the C-2A Greyhound fleet with acquisition strategy, logistics, and sustainment solutions supporting the warfighter's mission. This position is not eligible for remote work; on-site support is required.
Responsibilities:
Supports systems' design, development, integration, and testing, providing solutions to customer requirements to meet evolving challenges. Handles task-specific questions and engages in advanced problem-solving. Performs physical testing, analyzing data, and interpreting information. Prepares recommendations and solutions for specific areas in question. Provides leadership and direction to team members working on the same project. Responsible for analyzing requirements and models in support of project goals and collaborating with customers in the preparation of assessments, systems implementation plans, systems integration, and system test and evaluation. Utilizes tools, including Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS) and Cameo, to analyze system capability updates and provide recommendations to customers. Review and provide recommendations regarding documentation such as System Segment Specifications, Interface Design Documents, and System Integration Test Procedures.
Basic Qualifications:
Education: A Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Additional experience can be substituted for education.
Experience: A minimum of ten (10) years of professional experience supporting naval aircraft system software integration and test is required.
Travel: Must be able to travel as required for the role. Travels 10-15% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Interoperability integration and testing, E-2D Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC), and Link-16 in Software testing. Excellent written and verbal communication & professionalism, and customer service
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 hours/week
Compensation: $136,000-$205,260. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance. #LI-ML2
