Descriptive Summary
The Senior Director of Builder Sales leads a high-performing sales team, focused on building strong, long-lasting partnerships with homebuilders. This role involves developing and executing strategic sales plans, driving business development, and collaborating across departments to maximize revenue growth. The Senior Director places a strong emphasis on metrics, KPIs, and utilizing CRM tools to drive reporting and performance. Additionally, this role is responsible for honing and developing sales talent to achieve outstanding results.

*** Work location is flexible - this is not a remote position

Essential Functions

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to drive growth, market penetration, and business development within homebuilder accounts.
  • Establish and nurture long-term partnerships with new and existing clients, fostering strong and sustainable relationships.
  • Lead collaboration with internal stakeholders such as marketing, product, and customer service to create cohesive strategies that deliver value to customers.
  • Focus on key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor and drive sales performance, ensuring that the sales team meets or exceeds targets.
  • Leverage CRM systems to track progress, generate reports, and provide data-driven insights for performance improvement and decision-making.
  • Analyze sales data and metrics regularly to refine strategies and continuously optimize sales tactics.
  • Provide coaching and professional development for the sales team, ensuring they are equipped with the skills needed to succeed and advance within the organization.
  • Oversee the hiring, training, and performance management of the sales team, focusing on talent development and continuous improvement.
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives that align with business goals and support the growth of homebuilder partnerships.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in B2B sales, with a focus on the homebuilder and developer industry.

Skills & Competencies
Required:

  • Strong strategic thinking and business development skills, with the ability to create and implement plans in dynamic environments.
  • Expertise in building and maintaining strong, long-lasting partnerships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate, negotiate, and mediate between diverse groups.
  • Proven ability to manage and analyze key performance metrics (KPIs) and utilize CRM systems to drive sales reporting and performance.
  • High level of organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail, with the ability to thrive in fast-paced settings and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Leadership and managerial skills, with a strong focus on developing, mentoring, and motivating sales talent to achieve peak performance.
  • Advanced knowledge of industry standards, procedures, and best practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, particularly advanced Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently while maintaining a strategic focus.
  • Strong understanding of construction pricing structures, bids, and contract management.
  • Experience with SAP and Salesforce.
