Job Title:
Product Owners (2)
Location: Charlotte, NC | Hybrid 3x/week in Uptown
Pay Rate: $40-50/hr W-2
Contract Length: 12+ month contract, potential to convert
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Product Owner, particularly within the financial services sector, with a focus on commercial mortgage lending or servicing.
  • Strong understanding of commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) and commercial real estate finance.
  • Experience with user acceptance testing (UAT) and application testing methodologies specific to financial services.
  • Proven experience in agile methodologies and managing product backlogs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities to address complex business challenges.
  • Proficient in using product management tools and software (JIRA, Confluence).
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the mortgage servicing industry.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Plusses:
  • Experience with banking or financial services software platforms related to mortgage servicing.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools and metrics to track product success.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide initial triage of all CMS application issues to assist in determining appropriate routing for resolution.
  • Provide troubleshooting and access support requests for users in the Strategy SOR and other CMS applications.
  • Serve as Product Owner on behalf of business stakeholders for CMS applications, following enterprise Agile methodology.
  • Intake documentation, create user stories, business cases, and business value statements, and facilitate discovery through implementation phases of CMS process and technology improvements; champion system changes that mitigate risk and/or improve overall efficiency.
  • Liaise between the business and Technology teams to execute CMS application enhancements, ongoing maintenance, and sunsetting of CMS technology.
  • Work with CMS process owners, technology teams, and Technology Release Management to define priorities for defect fixes and minor enhancements, ensuring appropriate release scheduling.
  • Complete required SDLC documentation in a timely manner for releases.
  • Serve as Application Business Owner (ABO) for key SOR applications, including Strategy Wholesale and Full Circle, or as Alternate ABO partnering with process owner ABO for CMS applications.
  • Coordinate or participate in the coordination of UAT activities for maintenance releases.
  • Facilitate and ensure complete production validation for all maintenance releases.
  • Coordinate and/or conduct application testing and validation for all CMS system BCP activity.
  • Maintain documentation of all activity in the work queue (CMS Service Desk), adhering to enterprise and procedural SLAs.
  • Create and deliver CMS System Alert and CMS Application Advisory communications related to application issues/outages, releases, and other important systems information.
  • Maintain CMS Calendar to track and account for application issues, outages, and releases.
  • Serve as system representative and/or Subject Matter Expert (SME) for SHRP, audit, regulatory, and other enterprise-required efforts impacting CMS systems.
  • Support ad hoc CMS business needs.
