Job Title: QA Testing Analyst
Job Location: Columbus, OH (Hybrid)
Job Pay: $53/hr-$60/hr
Contract Length: 10 Months
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Manual QA Tester has a critical role in verifying the data integrity within an enterprise system conversion project. Large volumes of data will migrate from a legacy system onto a new platform. The candidate must be a self-starter who can work from various levels of requirements to craft test plans and cases that ensure coverage of all the business system flows. By actively participating in planning and status meetings along with team chat, communication throughout the process is vital to ensure project cadence. Regular updates (typically daily) are required to keep impacted teams moving forward together in this complex series of activities. Routinely working with developers, business systems analysts, other QA testers and stakeholders, the candidate must be able to have clear and concise communications.
Must be able to develop, document and maintain large complex data sets to fully exercise the end-to-end testing along with integration and system level testing.

Key responsibilities include:
- Performing manual verification and validation of large volumes of data at rest and in transit through the systems under test.
- Documenting test cases and tracking outcomes from test execution with company approved testing tools.
- Ability to manage your own workload, prioritize and deliver reliably.
- Report defects and follow-up through fixes and closure using Azure DevOps.
- Create SQL queries for a variety of databases to manage test data and verify program outputs.
- Adapt to changing timelines and business needs while ensuring the highest level of data accuracy at all stages of the migration.
- Collaborate in a cross-functional team environment.
- Be comfortable working with systems without a user interface. Much of the work is done by running/scheduling jobs, checking logs, executing APIs with Insomnia, or similar. There is minimal UI checking with the end-user interfaces.
- Problem solver, analytical thinker, strong attention to detail.
- Participate in off-hour production releases in a support capacity.
Job Requirements
Must Have:
- Strong willingness and ability to learn and take initiative
- Proficiency working with Windows operating systems
- Experience in database testing
- Mid-to-high level SQL proficiency
- Mid-to-high level Excel skills
- Experience working with a programmatic IDE
Nice to Have:
- Financial industry experience, particularly in collections, commercial loans, credit cards, and Installment loans.
- Familiarity with Python code (reading and modifying existing code; this is not a development role)
- Experience with file transfer testing
- Experience using Visual Studio Code
