Their primary expertise is in application development, data visualization, Information Technology (IT), and Their clients include large financial firms, utilities and Federal customers.
They are looking for a Sr. Backend Java Developer with strong , Java, Spring, Real-time messaging, API, Kafka, SQL, AWS Cloud experience responsible for building high volume messaging applications alongside system architect's for one of the top financial investment and bond trading firms in america.

Job description
responsibilities will include:
- Work with project manager, technical leads, business owners to understand the requirements and develop the application according to the specifications
- Understand and support existing systems, including resolving operational issues
- Troubleshoot problems, whether due to data or software, and work to rapidly implement fixes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards.
- Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
- Proficiency in Java and related frameworks; i.e. Hibernate, Spring
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and 8 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in the financial industry is a plus!
- 10 years of hands-on programming with 5+ years in Java development
- 5+ years of experience building cloud native applications with AWS.
- Spring and Apache libraries and other large open source libraries.
- Experience with Kafka and real-time messaging systems.
- Minimum of 2 years experience with Apache Flink.
- Expert SQL/Database Query experience required.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to work well in a team environment.
