Job Title: Senior Systems Analyst (SCADA/MES Engineer) - with relocation assistance
Location: Spartanburg, SC (onsite)
Salary Rate: $100,000 - $120,000 per annum
Job Type: Permanent, Direct Hire
Our client in the defense industry is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Systems Analyst (SCADA/MES Engineer) to join their team. This role is integral to the development, enhancement, and support of SCADA (Ignition) and MES (Sepasoft) applications for the NGDV assembly.
As a Senior Systems Analyst (SCADA Engineer), you will be responsible for:
- Developing, enhancing, and supporting SCADA (Ignition) and MES (Sepasoft) applications.
- Ensuring the uptime of the Production system and supporting daily SCADA/MES operations.
- Executing SCADA/MES development and configuration needs.
- Conducting SCADA/MES operator training sessions.
- Providing hands-on Production support to maintain SCADA/MES system availability during the 1st shift.
- Collaborating with internal and external personnel on integration enhancements with PLCs, JDE, and other systems.
- Supporting the development of functional specifications, test cases, and design documentation.
- Contributing to the development of control standards for NGDV.
- Analyzing system performance and recommending or implementing improvements.
- Overseeing the protection of the SCADA/MES environment to ensure data security and integrity, including establishing operational guidelines for privacy, security, and recovery controls.
- Developing and modifying SCADA/MES systems, including Tag Database generation, report development, and computer setup/configuration.
- Assisting with the deployment of technology beyond SCADA/MES as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Development and support experience with Ignition and Sepasoft.
- 3-5 years of experience as a SCADA or MES engineer or developer.
- Working knowledge of Rockwell PLCs or Siemens PLCs, OPC-UA, and MQTT protocols.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, Jython, C, C++, Visual Basic, SQL, etc.
- Experience with Windows Servers.
