Job Overview:
The Director of Software Engineering directs and oversees the software engineering function in developing, releasing, and maintaining software applications and operating systems according to business needs. This role establishes policies and procedures that produce high-quality software products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Provide technical and architectural guidance through code reviews, program enhancements, unit testing, bug fixing, and problem-solving.
- Project Management: Manage a broad portfolio of diverse technology projects to provide web and integration solutions.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work with senior-level stakeholders to identify and define opportunities and drive a technology-driven strategy.
- Development Oversight: Oversee the development and maintenance of flagship products, including transitions to new architectures.
- Documentation: Create and maintain documentation, standard operating procedures, and technical specifications.
- Team Management: Manage multiple scrum teams across several locations and ensure high availability and performance of business applications.
- Innovation: Influence the next generation of products and requirements strategy.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in software development, architectural standards, and SOA technologies.
- Skills: Proficiency in operations, testing, build processes, code reviews, .NET, C#, React, Azure DevOps, data lakes, CI/CD (GitHub, GitLab), Dynamics 365, Java, CI, SCM, Angular, architectural principles, and JavaScript.
- ERP Exerience
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as AWS, PMP, CCNP, CCNA, TLS, SSL, Google Cloud Platform, etc.
