Duration: 12 Months
Location: San Mateo, CA 94404
Rate: $35 - $40/Hr. On W2

The Procurement Analyst functions as a Corporate Planning, Sourcing and Procurement team member. The incumbent will oversee the day-to-day management of monitoring and resolving interface failures, providing guidance to end users of procurement processes, and resolving system errors, payment, invoice questions, tax, and account coding issues. This role will be part of the Procurement and SAP SRM tool owner team that acts as the subject matter expert and tools & process owner; and delivers process improvements. Maintain high attention to detail and thoroughness, particularly when working within the SAP SRM system.
Principle Duties / Responsibilities: (Summary list of typical duties and responsibilities of the job / essential functions)
  • Provide expert guidance and support on procurement processes, including resolving system errors, addressing payment and invoice inquiries, and handling tax and account coding issues. Troubleshoot procurement-related issues, including contracts, system errors, user access, and documentation. Oversee all processes related to purchasing goods and services
  • Act as PO approver, and troubleshoot issues related to PO processing, contracts, system errors, user access, and documentation.
  • Contribute to implementing procurement strategies across various categories, ensuring the maintenance and enhancement of SAP S4 HANA/SRM and other future procurement systems.
  • Guide users to follow the company's procurement processes on a global scale to optimize purchase order (PO) workflows.
  • Develop training materials and deliver ongoing training sessions to enhance productivity.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with business users and internal stakeholders to understand PO requirements and provide timely solutions. Offer insights and expertise for efficient purchase order processing.
  • Utilize and maintain procurement tools in compliance with Purchasing Policy and SOX regulations.
  • Act as an indirect procurement specialist during system integrations and upgrades to enhance procurement processes.
  • Create and present procurement reports and dashboards, sharing insights with the Procurement team and internal stakeholders. Assist with data analysis, spend analytics, and reporting for management and compliance purposes.
  • Experience in contract documents and comprehensive contract review.
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple responsibilities, consistently prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Handle day-to-day responsibilities, including coordinating and organizing events, planning meetings, and managing departmental activities.
  • Ensure clear and transparent communication within the procurement team and with other Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) groups and entities.

  • Proficient in SAP S4 Hana/SRM
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate vertically and cross-functionally
  • Extremely collaborative working style
  • Successful track record of operational responsibility in areas of contract and vendor management
  • Strong understanding of general vendor management principles and new technologies
  • Knowledge of the media and entertainment industry
  • BA/BS or relevant management work experience preferred
