The Team You'll Be A Part Of:
Synopsys Optical Solutions is looking for an Applications Engineer to work in the Customer Success team to support the Synopsys suite of optical system design products. You will work closely with customers, software development, sales, and product teams to solve complex technical challenges and drive the adoption of our industry-leading optical system design and analysis software.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Proactively supporting customers and prospective customers with diverse and complex technical questions via email, web, and face-to-face interactions.
  • Partnering with the sales and marketing teams to understand and meet customers' technical and business challenges.
  • Identifying, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving issues in a customer environment.
  • Providing insight and direction to improve usability, applicability, and adoption of Synopsys' products.
  • Developing and using technical material in various formats for support, training, webinars, and customer visits.
  • Collaborating with software development, sales, and product teams to enhance customer experience and product offerings.

What You'll Need:
  • At least 3 years of experience in one or more disciplines: optics, photonics, photonic integrated circuits, opto-electronic devices, or physics.
  • A Bachelors, Masters, or Ph.D. in Optics, Optical Sciences, Data Analytics, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Experience with AI systems, illumination tools, stray light tools, solid modeling tools, and photonics tools is a plus.
  • Proficiency in using advanced design tools and software.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills to diagnose and resolve complex issues.

The base salary range across the U.S. for this role is between $154,000-$230,000 annually. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses. Synopsys offers comprehensive health, wellness, and financial benefits as part of a of a competitive total rewards package.
