Job Title: Oracle Finance Functional Solution Architect (Remote with 25% Travel to Florida)

Are you a seasoned Oracle Finance Functional expert with a passion for designing robust and scalable financial solutions? Do you excel at translating complex business requirements into effective system architectures? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle Finance Functional Solution Architect to lead the design and implementation of Oracle Financials Cloud solutions for our clients. In this remote role, you will be instrumental in shaping their financial landscape, with a particular focus on architecting the Chart of Accounts to meet their unique business needs. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across the organization, providing your deep functional expertise and guiding the technical team to deliver exceptional solutions. While this is a remote position, approximately 25% travel to the client site in Florida will be required for key project milestones and client engagement.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the functional design and architecture of Oracle Financials Cloud solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements and industry best practices.
  • Oversee the complete design and configuration of the Chart of Accounts (COA) structure, including value sets, segment rules, and hierarchies, to support comprehensive financial reporting and analysis.
  • Conduct detailed workshops with business stakeholders to gather and analyze financial requirements across various modules (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, etc.).
  • Translate business requirements into clear and concise functional specifications and solution designs.
  • Define and document functional integration points between Oracle Financials Cloud and other enterprise systems.
  • Provide expert guidance on Oracle Financials Cloud best practices and recommend optimal solutions to enhance efficiency and scalability.
  • Collaborate closely with technical architects and development teams to ensure the feasibility and successful implementation of the proposed solutions.
  • Develop and maintain functional design documents, configuration workbooks, and other relevant documentation.
  • Participate in testing activities, including test planning, execution, and issue resolution, to ensure the quality of the delivered solution.
  • Provide functional support and guidance during the implementation and go-live phases.
  • Stay abreast of the latest Oracle Financials Cloud features and functionalities, and provide recommendations for leveraging new capabilities.
  • Effectively communicate complex functional concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (typically 8+ years) as an Oracle Finance Functional Consultant or Solution Architect, with a strong focus on Oracle Financials Cloud.
  • Extensive and in-depth experience in designing and implementing complex Chart of Accounts structures in Oracle Financials Cloud.
  • Deep functional knowledge of core Oracle Financials Cloud modules (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cash Management).
  • Experience with other Oracle Financials Cloud modules such as Planning and Budgeting, Tax, or Procurement is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of financial accounting principles and practices.
  • Experience with integration methodologies and tools relevant to Oracle Financials Cloud.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Ability to work independently and 1 collaboratively within a remote team environment. 2
     
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to the client site in Florida approximately 25% of the time.
